Carer groups

Meeting other carers in similar situations can help you feel more able to cope with your caring role.

At VOCAL, we hold monthly peer support groups in local areas. Some groups are about connecting carers, while others focus on a specific condition of the person you care for, such as amental health condition, or additional support needs.

To see the full list of our peer support groups, please visit our Carer Training website

We also run a group event called Coping Strategies, as part of our Carer Training programme. This takes place once or twice a month, online.

These meetings are an opportunity to chat with other carers about the challenges of your caring role, how these affect your emotional wellbeing, and how you can manage these challenges.

Visit the events page of our Carer Training website to find the next Coping Strategies session.
