Fundraising has a huge impact on our charity. It helps support our services for carers, spread the word about VOCAL and also encourages others to get involved! On the 18th of September Peter Lawson is taking on the Kiltwalk!
Peter is a carer himself and first heard of VOCAL a few years ago. Since then, Peter has accessed a number of our services. He also helps to organise the Family and Carers Network at NatWest, recognising the importance of support for employees who are balancing work with caring. Peter said:
“VOCAL has been a huge help to me over the years, both personally and also to help support my fellow carers at work and I wanted to give something back to say thank you.
“I haven’t done the full Kiltwalk before but I completed the 15 mile walk in Glasgow back in 2019. It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I have also done a number of sponsored 5/10km runs in the past but walking is more my thing these days.”
We wish Peter the best of luck in his training and will be there to cheer him on!
To support Peter and VOCAL, you can visit his Just Giving page. Every penny raised will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation!
