The Scottish Government have published the first annual report on Scotland's National Dementia Strategy, and marked the end of year one with the publiciation of two documents; Standards of Care for Dementia in Scotland and Promoting Excellence.
Standards of Care for Dementia in Scotland
This publication outlines the level of quality those with dementia and their carers should expect from local services. The Standards are based on the The Charter of Rights for People with Dementia and their Carers in Scotland and were developed to help people with dementia and their carers understand their rights. Alzheimer Scotland have produced a guide outling how you can ensure the services recieved meet the standards of care.
Promoting Excellence
This publication is for all health and social care staff, providing a framework for skills and knowledge and updating profressional qualifications.
