VOCAL runs carer workshops on a variety of themes

"Carers who have attended our groupwork courses have said that it helped them to see that the feelings they were experiencing were similar to other carers. Knowing that you are not the only one to feel as you do can be very reassuring."  Wynne Crawford

Can we offer you a lifeline?

VOCAL offers a range of workshops aimed at helping carers explore some of the more emotional aspects of caring. All workshops are free and open to carers and those who have been carers within the last two years.

Spring/Summer 2010

Loss and bereavement
We will look at how loss can affect us and the stages we may go through when we are confronted with different kinds of loss, including death.
Thursday 17th June, 8 Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh
Download workshop leaflet for more information

All workshops will take place at VOCAL’s offices at Johnston Terrace (unless otherwise stated) with lunch provided. We can also help with transport and sitter costs if needed.

Numbers are limited to twelve for each workshop so please book early to ensure a place. If you have not been to one of the workshops before and would like to find out more contact Ada Blair on 0131 466 8082

If you have any suggestions for future workshops Ada, VOCAL's Counselling Co-ordinator would be very interested to hear from you. Someone recently suggested running a laughter workshop for carers. Does this appeal to anyone? Ada can be contacted on 0131 466 8082 or by email on ablair@vocal.org.uk
