If you are in employment

What about payroll giving (Give As You Earn)? Payroll giving is a unique way for people to give to charity. Payroll giving means your donation comes straight from your gross pay before tax. It gives your charity of choice a little extra, without any further cost to yourself. If you work for a large employer, find out if your company supports operates this provision. Email us to discuss payroll giving.

Individual donations

We always welcome individual donations. Thanks to the government's Gift Aid scheme, we can reclaim tax on your donation if you are a UK taxpayer. Email us to discuss how to donate.

Wills and legacies

Thanks to the generosity of two carers, VOCAL has received two legacies over the past five years. This has helped us fund the equivalent of a carer support worker. Click here for information from the Citizen's Advice Bureau on making a will. Email us to discuss wills and legacies.

Recycle your Mobile Phones, Printer and Fax Ink Cartridges

VOCAL has just launched a new Recycling Appeal that will turn old mobile phones and used printer cartridges into much needed funds for the organisation.

We are running our fundraising recycling campaign in partnership with experts at the Recycling Appeal, who will give VOCAL around £5 for every mobile phone and around £1 for every printer cartridge collected.

Lots of offices bin their inkjet and toner cartridges – why not donate them instead? You’ll be helping our valuable work, and you’ll be helping the environment at the same time. When mobiles and cartridges are binned they end up in landfill sites where they can cause pollution – as they slowly break down, chemicals can leak into the surrounding soil. By recycling them, you protect the environment.

To participate in this eco-friendly fundraiser, simply drop off your unwanted phones/cartridges at VOCAL Carers Centre, 8-13 Johnston Terrace, EDINBURGH, EH1 2PW.
